Trump Organization Launches Tokenized Hotel Project in the Maldives
The Trump Organization is partnering with Dar Global to develop a luxury resort in the Maldives. The Trump International Hotel Maldives will open by the end of 2028. It will feature 80 ultra-luxurious beach and overwater villas. The project will use blockchain technology to offer digital tokens. These tokens allow early investors to buy shares during the development and construction phase.
Dar Global is a London-listed luxury developer backed by Saudi interests. This project is among the first to use tokenization for hotel funding. Ownership stakes will be divided digitally, enabling easier trading of shares. The resort will be located 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, the Maldives capital.
This resort is part of several ventures between the Trump Organization and Dar Global. Their collaborations include Trump-branded towers in Dubai and Jeddah. They also have projects involving resorts, golf courses, and luxury homes in Oman and Qatar.
Advances in Tokenized Real Estate in Dubai
The Maldives project aligns with growing tokenized real estate initiatives in the region. In March 2025, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) launched a blockchain program with Ctrl Alt. This program lets investors purchase shares of properties recorded on the XRP Ledger.
In July 2025, DLD partnered with Crypto.com to use digital currencies in property transactions. This initiative covers tokenized assets and blockchain payments. It supports Dubai’s Real Estate Strategy 2033.
Trump Family Expands Into Digital Finance
The Trump family is active in digital finance through World Liberty Financial (WLFI). WLFI manages the USD1 stablecoin, fully backed by reserves held with BitGo. The company recently integrated its USD1 Points Program into decentralized finance (DeFi).
WLFI started this integration with the lending platform Dolomite and plans to expand to other partners. These moves show the increasing link between real estate and blockchain finance. Projects range from tokenized hotels to digital property investments featuring stablecoin services.
