Bing Gordon Joins Sui Foundation as Advisor
Bing Gordon, co-founder of Electronic Arts, has joined the Sui Foundation as an advisor. He is known for creating games like The Sims and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth. Gordon also serves on Take-Two Interactive’s board.
His role at Sui will involve guiding the expansion of blockchain-based gaming projects. This move comes after CCP Games chose Sui as the exclusive blockchain partner for its upcoming MMO, EVE Frontier.
Gordon’s Experience and Sui’s Growing Gaming Ecosystem
With over 40 years in gaming, Gordon brings deep industry knowledge to Sui. He has held key roles at EA and worked at the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins. At Sui, he will advise on strategy and market positioning for new projects.
Sui’s gaming ecosystem is growing fast. It now includes major projects like the XOCIETY game and the SuiPlay0X1 gaming console.
Gordon said, “Real progress in gaming innovation requires infrastructure that can support lasting engagement.” He highlighted Sui’s focus on sustainable development rather than short-term trends.
Blockchain Networks Attract Traditional Gaming Talent
Sui’s appointment of Gordon shows blockchain platforms are attracting veteran gaming experts. This strengthens their credibility in the Web3 space.
For example, Solana recently partnered with gamified trading platform MattleFun. This partnership uses the Solana Name Service to connect on-chain identities. These initiatives show how blockchains are evolving into entertainment networks.
Both Sui and Solana aim to reshape how players own, create, and connect through blockchain technology. Traders and developers are watching this trend closely.
