BNB Chain’s X Account Hacked
BNB Chain’s official X account was hacked on Wednesday. The hacker posted fake Airdrop announcements. These posts included links to phishing websites. The fake sites try to steal users’ personal information and login details.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former Binance CEO, confirmed the attack. He warned users not to share Wallet Connect details with suspicious sites. CZ also said takedown requests were sent to remove the fake websites.
Users should always check domain names carefully before logging in. This helps avoid phishing scams, even if the link looks official.
BNB Price Not Impacted by Hack
The hack did not affect BNB’s price much. On Wednesday, BNB stayed above $1,000 despite a 2% drop from the day before. The token shows signs of a possible price rise.
BNB could reach its record high of $1,083, set on September 21. However, if the recent price drop continues, support at $950 might be tested.
