Chainlink Partners with SBI Digital Markets
Chainlink, a decentralized oracle network, has partnered with SBI Digital Markets (SBIDM), the digital asset division of Japan’s SBI Group. The collaboration uses Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to develop secure digital asset solutions.
The partnership was announced in Singapore on November 6, 2025. It aims to connect traditional finance systems with blockchain networks to enable secure tokenized fund operations.
Enhancing Tokenized Securities Across Networks
SBIDM will use CCIP to link public and private blockchains. This allows clients to issue, trade, and settle tokenized securities while ensuring privacy and regulatory compliance. Privacy tools help keep transaction details, like amounts and senders, confidential.
This work builds on the collaboration under Singapore’s Project Guardian. There, Chainlink, SBIDM, and UBS Asset Management used blockchain to improve fund management processes.
Integrating Traditional and Decentralized Finance
CK Ong, COO at SBI Digital Markets, said, “Our vision for capital markets is an interconnected global platform with secure, interoperable infrastructure. SBI Digital Markets is uniquely positioned to distribute digital assets across TradFi and DeFi.”
SBIDM aims to become a full digital asset hub covering issuance, settlement, and secondary trading. The company is also testing Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine, which enforces financial rules on blockchain transactions.
