Coinbase Appoints Liz Martin as VP of Product
Coinbase has hired Liz Martin, a former Goldman Sachs partner, as its new Vice President of Product. She will lead the development of Coinbase’s “Everything Exchange” platform. Martin will oversee Markets and Derivatives, managing the global markets team and Coinbase’s exchange operations.
The “Everything Exchange” platform will provide services like trading, borrowing, staking, spending, and earning, all integrated in one place.
Creating a Unified Crypto Platform
Coinbase aims to build a one-stop crypto service platform through the “Everything Exchange.” This strategy will allow users to access tokenized stocks, prediction markets, early-stage token sales, and more on a single platform.
The approach simplifies access to multiple crypto services under one roof for users.
Liz Martin’s Extensive Financial Experience
Martin brings 25 years of experience from Goldman Sachs, where she was a partner in the global markets business. She led enterprise partnerships and consumer finance projects, including launches of credit cards, savings products, and buy now, pay later services.
In a statement, Martin said, “Derivatives sit at the center of every mature market, and Coinbase has an enormous opportunity to lead this space globally as crypto markets reach institutional scale.”
Expanding Services and Market Outlook
Coinbase is expanding its offerings to support the new platform. In September, it acqui-hired the founders of Sensible, a crypto yield platform, to enhance features.
Last month, Benchmark analyst Mark Palmer gave Coinbase a “Buy” rating with a $421 price target. He said the “Everything Exchange” strategy is “powerfully levered to a crypto bull cycle.”
