Coinbase and Samsung Partner to Expand Crypto Trading
Coinbase (COIN) and Samsung have joined forces to make crypto trading easier for US users. They will integrate Coinbase One into the Samsung Wallet on Galaxy devices.
Crypto Trading Comes to Samsung Wallet
The partnership aims to give over 75 million US Galaxy users access to crypto through the Samsung Wallet. Coinbase also added a Samsung Pay feature for faster wallet funding for US customers.
Shan Aggarwal, Coinbase’s Chief Business Officer, said, “Together with Samsung, we’re pairing their global scale with Coinbase’s trusted platform to deliver the best value for people to access crypto — starting with more than 75 million of Galaxy users across the US, and soon around the world.”
The Samsung Pay feature will roll out to select Coinbase users in the next month. It will then expand to more users in the US and Canada.
Global Expansion and Future Plans
Coinbase and Samsung plan to extend Coinbase One integration to Galaxy users worldwide in the coming months. Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics America, said the partnership will let users explore crypto on a trusted platform from their mobile devices.
