Galaxy Digital Launches GalaxyOne Platform for U.S. Investors
Galaxy Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: GLXY) has introduced GalaxyOne, a new financial platform for U.S. investors. The platform combines high-interest cash accounts, cryptocurrency trading, and U.S. stock trading. Investors can manage all these investments through one app or website.
Galaxy Premium Yield and High-Yield Cash Accounts
GalaxyOne’s main feature, Galaxy Premium Yield, offers U.S. accredited investors an 8% annual return on cash. This return comes from investment notes issued by Galaxy Digital LP. These notes are backed by Galaxy’s institutional lending operations, active since 2018.
- Minimum investment: $25,000
- Maximum per investor: $1 million
- Total platform limit: $250 million
- Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly into a GalaxyOne Cash account
All investors can access GalaxyOne Cash, a high-yield cash account with a 4% annual percentage yield (APY). It is FDIC insured up to $250,000 through Cross River Bank. Investors may choose to reinvest earned interest automatically into cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana.
Trading Features and Platform Leadership
GalaxyOne allows instant trading of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. It also offers commission-free trading of U.S. stocks and ETFs. Investors can buy fractional shares starting at $10. The platform supports retirement accounts, including traditional and Roth IRAs. Eligible stocks can be lent out to earn extra income.
GalaxyOne was developed from the mobile platform Fierce, acquired by Galaxy in 2024. Zac Prince, Galaxy Digital’s Managing Director, leads GalaxyOne. Rob Cornish, former CEO of Fierce, is the Chief Technology Officer.
Market Position and Company Statements
GalaxyOne enters a clearer regulatory environment for traditional and digital assets in the U.S. It aims to differentiate itself from platforms like Coinbase and Robinhood. The focus is on strong risk management, clear information, and solid security. GalaxyOne targets U.S. retail investors who want to combine traditional and digital investments.
Mike Novogratz, Galaxy’s CEO, said, “We’ve spent years building institutional-quality infrastructure to serve the world’s most sophisticated investors. Now, we’re extending that edge to individuals.” Zac Prince added, “GalaxyOne delivers exactly that: a unified opportunity to earn yield on cash, trade crypto, and access U.S. equities.”
