Keeta Launches Mainnet with High-Speed Claims
Keeta, a new layer-1 blockchain network supported by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, launched its mainnet today. The network claims to process transactions faster than Solana, Ethereum, and Tron.
During testing, Keeta processed over 28.7 million transactions and created more than 42.6 million blocks, according to the official press release.
In a June stress test, Keeta reached 11.2 million transactions per second. This speed is 2,500 times faster than Solana and exceeds the combined capacity of Visa, SWIFT, and FedNow payment systems. Keeta aims to set a new standard for blockchain scalability.
Strong Market Debut and Token Performance
At launch, Keeta had 235 million funded wallets and over 42 million wallets that completed transactions. More than 13 exchanges listed its token immediately.
The token price has risen 190% from its lowest point this year. This increase pushed Keeta’s market capitalization above $457 million. Its fully diluted valuation exceeds $1.08 billion.
Founder and CEO Ty Schenk said, “I’m incredibly proud of everything that the team has accomplished to get us to this point and super excited for the world to see what we’ve built. Keeta really is the most advanced, scalable L1 in the world, and now we get to prove it.”
Competitive Landscape Ahead
Keeta faces strong competition in the blockchain space. Ethereum currently dominates decentralized finance, stablecoins, and asset tokenization.
Solana is preparing its Alpenglow upgrade, which aims to increase its speed beyond 100,000 transactions per second. Tron, Binance Smart Chain, and IOTA also hold significant market positions.
