MoonPay Partners with Pump.fun for Seamless Crypto Purchases
MoonPay, a global crypto payments provider, has partnered with Pump.fun, a Solana-based platform. This collaboration allows users to buy crypto instantly within the Pump.fun mobile app.
The integration uses MoonPay’s payment system. It supports credit and debit cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other popular methods.
MoonPay announced on November 4, 2025, that users worldwide can now buy tokens using various payment options. To celebrate, MoonPay is giving away $1,700 in SOL tokens. Ten winners will be randomly selected and paid on November 6, 2025.
Improving Access to the Solana Ecosystem
The partnership aims to reduce the challenges users face when entering the Solana ecosystem. MoonPay’s CEO, Ivan Soto-Wright, said, “Pump.fun has built one of the most exciting platforms in crypto, and we are proud to power their onramp experience.”
Pump.fun launched its mobile app in February 2025 for iOS and Android. The app lets users create, buy, sell, and track memecoins at no cost while managing their portfolios.
Alon Cohen, Co-Founder of Pump.fun, said, “MoonPay’s integration drastically reduces friction when onramping onto Solana. Our users can trade coins faster, without juggling external onboarding providers.”
This partnership follows Pump.fun’s acquisition of the multichain trading terminal Padre. The move aims to bring advanced trading tools and better user experience to the platform.
Risks in Pump.fun’s Open Token Market
Pump.fun allows anyone to create and list tokens instantly. However, many tokens are unverified and unaudited. This openness can lead to risks such as rug pulls, liquidity drains, and pump-and-dump schemes.
While the platform encourages creativity and rapid experimentation, users should be cautious. Bad actors and speculative projects are common.
As Pump.fun expands with partners like MoonPay, it must balance accessibility with accountability. This will help prevent new users from facing unregulated risks when entering crypto.
